rubbing sound when in motion

My '05 g35 coupe has a strange high pitched rubbing noise coming from the front wheels when I'm in motion (mainly cornering and braking). I recently had my brake pads replaced but the noise persisted before this repair.

I know its not a belt because I don't hear it at idle. Any idea what is causing this friction?

I know on mine the rotor guard rubs on the brake rotor when I corner at speed. Simple fix just bend it away from the rotor slightly. But there are lots of other possibilities

I had that happen on one of my cars too, very annoying but an easy fix.
