Exclamation Constant Power To Starter

Ok guys i'm officially going crazy about this...... I replaced my starter yesterday with a genuine infiniti starter ( it said new on the sewell infiniti site but came in a "Remanufactured" box) so i drove the car last night with about 4 or 5 stops and start ups then once today when i went to start it again i heard the starter still spinning even after i turned the car off did a battery pull and still the same thing once the terminals are put back onto the battery..... Which is when i realized my starter is getting constant power anybody ever had this kind of problem before??

Did you install it right? Could be a short somewhere or a defective starter.

It is a one wire install for the starter motor that is put on with a nut onto a stud and a quick connect for the solenoid. I doubt he messed that up considering it worked a few times.

The starter relay probably welded in the on position.

the problem was a faulty solenoid being stuck in the "ON' position so i swapped out the new solenoid with the old one and now it works perfectly
