For $1250 you can have it. I was hoping for a better deal since the equipment is used. Basically you're getting a good custom enclosure for a few hundred and the used speakers and amp at new pricing. It's not a bad deal, but I would have tried to talk him down to $750 plus shipping... Since he's getting so many PM's I think I'll have to pass.

neff the audio equipment alone is worth almost 800 new and that box has over $500 in material alone.... not counitng the 90 hours it took to build. I think the price im asking for it is more than fair... A box like that would cost around 1500 alone if you walked into a audio shop to have it built.

Did you build the back of the enclosure with MDF? I also stumbled across this old post... $500 in material and $1500 retail?

Not trying to start trouble, just found a few inconsistancies and was trying to get a really good deal. Good luck selling your stereo equipment.

F23A4... this was my call on the car to sell... as opposed to getting stuck in a loan I have a car sitting in my garage that is bassicly all paid off... so i figured this would be a idea on my part... Wifey actually wanted me to keep the car, but i dont wanna get tied into loans... and YES big wedding are stupid and the G is paying the price ;(
Good luck man. Do what you have to do. I DO hope you can somehow keep your whip. It's definitely one of the nicest Gs I've seen so far.

Congratulations though!!!

neff the box has about 6 or 7 layers of FG... the ENTIRE box is FG , with MDF strips run throught it to make it even stronger. The material cost on the FG alone was around that... then ontop of that all the bondo and prep work and the painting.. and the amp rack and there is another compartment behind the box to hold more amps and the plexi glass and the carpeting and the wiring(speaker, 4 AWG wire front to back), the ground wire and fuses and the pre amp converter.

Plus that amp will run you over 500 and the subs $150 each.

The Price im giving everyone online includes EVERYTHING and I feel its def a great deal.
Walk into a serious audio shop and ask them to custom mold a FG box and then paint it like that and install and tune it, see what they quote you.

Not trying to start problems, but Im not trying to make a fortune here. I wanna part out my car to try and cover my costs.

I'll vouch for the Fiberglass project... just the hours in itself is a PITA!! Custom shops wanted $400+ just for a box (hence, why I made my own).

Sucks that you're parting with the G after all that work put into it.

Best of luck to ya.

ppl often forget when they're selling their own, used stuff that it's unlikely that you will get much for it even if it wasn't that old. in a private sale, you don't have the luxury of returns or warranties. and of course, the items are USED. so getting 50% of the original price is more likely and 75% very unlikely. and of course, you don't get your "labor" costs.

so neff, i totally agree with you. i wouldn't pay over a grand for used stuff, but that's just me. with that much money, i would feel better with the assurance that i can return or exchange it if something went wrong.

Hey guy... the wheels are still for sale... I havent posted pics or emailed anyone since I have not taken any yet. I finally have the wheels off the car and had them polished. There is a local guy coming to see the wheels this week. If he doesnt want the wheels im going to post up some pics.

Feel Free to PM me with any questions
