Would this LS2 w/ SC fit...

I have a chance to snag this ls2 with kenne bell SC and was wondering if anyone out there had the slightest clue as to if it would fit in a G with a non modified stock hood or a HD hood. Using any other hood is out of the question.

Here's a crappy reference pic

Unlikely, even the Stillen SC'd VQs need an aftermarket hood. Send me a PM with info on the engine though, I don't mind getting a new hood

Do the LSs sit lower in the Gs than the VQs? I was looking at the pics on brewhaha's thread and it looks like there would be plenty of room.

For reference, Stillen supercharger is a POS and pretty sure the only SC for our cars the requires the hood kit. It also puts out the lowest power for the price.

Ask Brew_Haha about the LSX:

the stillen was a horrible rebagded undersized eaton model supercharger...The kennel bell sc's are totally different story.

The best bet, is compare the engine heights of the ls2 compared to the vq35. I believe your right, the ls2 should sit a little lower since its a OHV vs duel OHC.

You might be better off selling the kennel bell and getting a centigiual supercharger, similar to a vortech or procharger since they side along the engine and not on top.

You can also try checking on my350z.com There a lot more ls swapped guys on there.

Sorry I ever mentioned the Stillen. The only comparison I was aiming for was having something bolted to the top of the engine and not fitting under the factory hood. I know it's a POS.

Yeah. It'll fit...assuming you're talking about the LS2 AND the SC. The LSx motors sit something like 4-6inches lower than the VQ. So, you've got plenty of room for an SC.

all good man, i agree with you. I just wanted to make sure people didn't confuse the two. Since kenne bell sc's are pretty good.

This would be my guess as well. The LS sits low on the engine bay. The VQ is a tall motor. Also the g35 should have more clearance that a 350z towards the front of the motor, not sure if that is relevant.
