Springmount Uneven

Hi there. Does anyone else seem to have a problem with their springmounts? My driver side one seems to be pushed all the way in, but the passenger side one pushes in only about 3/4 of the way, which causes a semi uneven drop on that side. I know the solution is to do the springmount mod, but I'm curious if something contributed to an uneven springmount? I have been dropped on H-techs for approximately 2 years. Thanks.

Ouch! So you've been driving around lopsided for two years? Why did you wait so long to figure out you need to fix this issue? Remove both springs/mounts and carefully put everything back together making sure both springs are seated correctly....Gary

I've always thought that the uneven drop was a normal thing for the G's since a lot of people had the same issue. Recently I took a look under because I was interested in doing the springmount mod, and realized that the one on the passenger side looks to stick out a little more than the driver. I'll most likely fix it soon, but I was curious to know if anyone else ran into that problem. Thanks!

Mine is actually the same way on Tein S.Techs. It's odd though, because some days the car seems to sit even, and some days the one side seems to sit slightly higher than the other. I'd go out and measure curb to fender distance, but it's pouring right now.

My initial thought was what Gary mentioned: Spring mounts or springs out of line on the spring perch. I'll be taking the spring mounts apart and reassembling them the next time I have some free time.

I have Tein S. Techs as well and my rt side is exactly 1/2" lower then the left. Tire on the right is nice and tucked and i can fit one finger on the left... I need to find this "spring mount mod"!

Yah it's actually very common. If you search up G35 uneven drop you'll see tons of threads on it. It's mainly the rear passenger side that is uneven, which is what mine is. But I am unsure if it's related to an uneven springmount for myself.

I haven't heard of the front being uneven, only the rear passenger side. I would suggest checking to see if your springs were properly installed and maybe your tire sizes/thread.

I have looked at the struts a couple times and everything looks to be in the correct place. I guess ill just have to pull them apart in the spring to see if something is messed up. The tires are both brand new 245/30/20.
Thanks!

Here's a question I'm sure some people might need an answer to; would it be unwise to cut one side of the springmount and leave the other side untouched? I know that people have cut different sizes for the springmounts without any issues. I think I might just do this to compensate for the uneven side on the rear passenger. I wouldn't see it being an issue since you're basically balancing both sides...

Just an update; I ended up cutting the passenger rear springmount and it is now even. I'm driving one side uncut and one side cut. No issues so far.
