How far before the release of the 05's did you nab your beautiful ride?

As an aside, the silly mistake in color that I made in this thread is ironically similialr to one of the mistakes I made on a corvette forum when I first got my C5 a few years ago. I had thought, for some reason, that you could get the 97-99 wheels in chrome from the factory. I had a 2000 FRC, so I thought it was either polished aluminum or chrome. I was quickly scolded as soon as I professed how owners would be silly not to opt for the 'chrome' version of the wheels on their pre-2000's.

I guess old lessons die hard, lol

Thanks for the final correction 'Gspotter'

Did you keep the C5? I almost bought a used or new C5, then decided to get a used or new G Coupe instead and stick with Nissan for the fourth time in a row. After seeing the prices on used G's, I went for new. I got mine in early November. There were only around 5 new '04 Caribbean Blue 6MT's left in the US at that time. Enjoy your new Twilight Blue ride! Please post pics!

I had the car new in April of 2000, kept it until Nov. 01 and put 30,000 miles on it. A real blast to drive. TONS of torque, easy to break the tires loose, but...really shoddy interior.

Had many many small problems that put the car in the shop quite often. Also, blown clutch at 13,000 miles.

Fun car, but annoying to deal with the breakdowns and problems.

The car had 8 miles on it when I picked it up. Supposedly, I picked up the car right after the truck delivered it to the dealer. So, I was the only one who drove it, I mean, no test drives for other people in it.

My car had 7 miles, of which the title showed 5 at delivery to the dealer. The 2 miles were apparently 1 mile to the gas station, and 1 mile back.
