I've seen many G35 seat trims (leather cover on the seat) replaced due to "issues". I'm not sure the exact circumstances, but I do know we've had many replaced under warranty here for various issues. They're a somewhat common part to find in our warranty bin. I'd definitely check with your local dealer.

There's not a mention of upholstering or carpeting in the manual, but I assume that the basic warranty would cover it.
It may be included in the wear and tear items altho it's not listed, nor is it listed in what's not covered.
Would be interesting to hear what Infiniti has to say about it.

I think the cause of the damage needs to be determined. Secondly, there needs to be some established determination of what normal wear and tear is. The wrranty is designed to remedy faulty problems. If it can be reasonably shown that you have a faulty seat and the leather is wearing prematurely, then you might have case for a warranty claim.

Do it every 2months with Meguir's Gold Class Leather Conditioner. It will make the seat look like no one has ever sat in it.

Mine isnt cracking, it is like the left cheek area where you slide into has shifted over about 2 inches and has left a hideous blister that is very soft in that area. Everything else looks perfect and firm. I tried to give the leather a face lift by stuffing the extra in the plastic side panel near the door, but to no avail. I use Griots garage leather conditioner at least once a month. Im thinking that could be covered, but cracking no. I wish I had a digital camera handy to show.

No offense but your car is only half year old.... wait till you have it for 15 months....

I see this leather quality as nothing but low level crap... A $40K car should have better quality leather.

lol, ill remember not to use that stuff..

So have we determined whats a good leather conditioner? SInce you've been using Zaino and it looks like that I'm not sure I wanna go with them. Is Lexol a better product? If so, where from? any auto store?

I HIGHLY doubt that Zaino is the culprit here. If it was the conditioner I would have had that problem all over the interior, including the steering wheel. Plus, I know a handful number of people who've been using it and none of them had a problem like that.

i use lexol leather cleaner and conditioner about every 3 months. my car has 15k miles on it rite now, and the leather seems to hold up fine.
