Speedoholic......

In October this year (my car was 1yr old) I had my car in for service......I mentioned to my saleman how my seat bolster had collapsed, and it wasn't supporting me any longer.

I only weigh around 190lbs, and I always remove my wallet so I don't put any pressure on the bolster, but despite all my efforts the left bolster had creased severely, and actually folded over on itself....

When the service rep looked at it, he agreed that the seat should not have done that........He ordered me a new foam cushion and the leather seat bottom....they replaced it in about 2hrs....

The seat isn't as tightly fitting as the original, but at least it doesn't have that long crease/fold like the original...Heres a pic of my replacement seat.....

Thanks,

I will definitely bring it up with the dealer next week.

I have the same problem, but with both seats. Going to see the dealer next week,
will give you a update on the outcome.

Seat cover replaced under warranty

Speedoholic, My dealer just replaced the lower seat cover on the passenger side. I have about 12k miles on my '04 and complained about the way it was wearing/discolored. I'm glad I didn't have to pay for it because the dealer's ticket showed a cost of over $900 just for the lower seat! Take it to your dealer, these are "near-luxury cars", and we should expect to get "near-luxury treatment!"

I've been using Zaino for the G and I condition every 3 months. I've had no problems yet and my seats look perfect. Speedh. probably had a defective seat...hopefully the dealer can resolve the issue.

Just so you all know:
The side bolsters are not leather. Check the Monroney sticker and you'll see it says "leather seating surfaces" or "leather-appointed seating", depending on MY. The bolsters are really, really nice vinyl.

i've seen you post on FA as well... has anyone else confirmed this? You figure if this was really the case, it would've come up way before this.
