High mileage 2005 G35 Coupe

Hello,

I am original owner of 2005 G35 Coupe. Currently at 125k miles. Exterior looks great. Interior ok, driver seat show wear. For last 2 years, its been my daily driver, 500 miles per week, almost all is freeway mileage. I can pretty much drive the limit ..heheh :> all the way to work.

I regularly maintain vehicle ( take it to local dealer). Is it unreasonable for me to expect my G35 to take me to 200K ?

Cheers!

- Lou

Welcome to G35Driver. As long as you do all maintenance and don't beat on it your gold.

I'm at 167K on my 04 g coupe. The way I see it, you must be doing things right if your car is still going strong. I just have to add oil to mine every 1-2K miles or so. I keep up on regular maintenance items. I'm getting start-up rattle now and some rattling between 2-5.5K rpms. Research is showing that its probably a work VTC camshaft sprocket. No issues with the way it runs though. I might be doing a timing chain, guide, tensions, and sprockets change in the near future though.

No problem, 200K miles should be easy even 300K if you continue to maintain the maintenance schedule. Treat her like your g/f with frequent oil/filter changes and listen, she'll let you know if there's anything wrong!
