Before class this morning I went out to get a few things out of the G, mind you it was 8 degrees and had been snowing last night. When I tried for the door handle, it pulled out about halfway and seemed to be stuck. I tried pulling it again, with slightly more force but not aggressively and I got the door open. Now here's the problem, I tried shutting the door and it would just bounce back every time I tried closing it. I tried repeatedly until I shut it and hit the button on the handle to lock it, and the door stayed shut. But now I cant even get the door open from the outside or inside, and the passenger door handle is loose.

Can anyone help me with this problem, or where I could go to get it fixed? Nearest dealership is 45 min away, so I am trying to avoid that option.

 

Could the latch be frozen or need lubricating?
