What to do what to do

So I don't know what to do. I have all the mods on my car for about 2 years now and I almost never drive the car. I think I have put maybe 5k on the car. I would like to start driving something better than my 94 Del Sol to and from work, so I am thinking about trading the g for a stock one so someone else can enjoy the mods. I don't need the power for my daily driver and i drive my titan anytime i go out for something because the dogs go with or the family.

So i just don't know what to do, anyone have any advice, i am torn

Part out the car and sell the parts. You still keep your G and someone else can enjoy the power mods.

Why not..... leave the dogs at home and drive the thing?

Seems like it's worth driving.

^Good question...

Seems pointless to buy a car, drop a lot of money into it and never use the damn thing

You're talking about wanting to drive something other than your 94 Del Sol....why not just make the G your dd and sell the honda? Seems like a no brainer to me

Put all that money into the G and not drive it? Sounds about right...

Silver350GT, nice car on the avatar profile pic!

it'll be too hard to go back to a stock car. you put all the time, $, and effort into yours, so i say you should just enjoy it! i would just drive it more instead of the 94 del sol if i were you.

Haha... I kind get where you're coming from.

I bought my G35 new in '04. Drove it a good amount the first few years I had it during the warmer parts of the year, but I also have a truck that I use in the winter or whenever it's raining out or for parking in Boston, etc. I bought a motorcycle like 5 years ago and pretty much never drive my car anymore. I always drive my truck in bad weather and bike in good. I only put on 2K miles G last year for the entire year, and basically the same for the prior year.

My car is relatively stock compared to yours, but I don't think I could bring myself to sell it since I like it so much (despite it being slow by modern standards).

Do you feel attached to your car at all?.. or could you bring yourself to actually sell it?

It sounds like you need to get rid of the Del Sol. That's a small 2 seater car so I know the family nor the dogs are going in that. Make your DD the G. I think a lot of us are in teh same boat. I bought my G used, but other than the 6 hour drive from "Joyzee" to upstate NY, I think I may have put 200 miles on my car all of last year and I don't see much going on it this year either. Now, I'll never get rid of it, but I can see beeing in the "what should I do"/"too many cars" realm.

First step is get rid of the del sol, that'll leave you with the G35 and the Titan you mentioned. Next step, start offroading the Titan. Lift it, throw some bigger tires on it, wheel the everlovingshit out of it. Then you'll start breaking crap on the Titan and you'll have to drive the G35 until it's fixed again.

Problem solved.

I have a similar 'problem'. Drive the G about 3k/year.

I drive my other car about 12k/year (soon to be double since i moved further from work).

Debating selling the G, or both, to get a newer gas sipping car (Camry/Corolla/Civic/Accord/Etc). But I don't think I can bring myself to do that.

It's mostly emotional attachment. It is the first nice car I ever bought. I spent alot of time on it (mostly OEM restoration, no mods). I can't decide to sell now or just keep it forever.
