o btw when you finance a car there going to require pip/pd of at least 100/300 if im not mistaking. or something depending on your state.
I'm not familiar with all state laws, but I don't see this being the case. generally lienholders require you to carry Collision and Comprehensive coverages so their collateral is protected. Most allow a maximum deductible of $500. PIP - personal injury protection would not so anything to help the lienholder nor would PD - property damage liability coverage.

How are you able to get it for only that much? That includes collision as well? I'm 26 with 21st as well. No accident nor tickets w/ good driver discount...and its around $1200 for 6 mths. How much cheaper is Costco? If so, I would rather go with them to save some money, since I have good credit as well. Do you have to be a member though?

That's a good deal, especially on the deductibles...Philadelphia area auto insurance sucks...too many damn uninsured motorists running around. I've shopped around and this is the absolute cheapest I've found. One of the most expensive areas in the country, besides NJ and CA.

You've got me re-thinking my deductibles.

I learned a lesson six years ago. I had $5000 medical coverage at the time. A guy came across the center-line in a truck and hit me head-on - nearly killed me. I exhausted the $5000 the first day. As he was at fault, I ultimately recovered my medical costs but I had to front the money. I now have $75000 Medical for $16.75 every six-months.

I erred in my post. I only have two cars. When my wife's new CPE 6MT arrives we'll have three cars.

Sounds as you have a lower premium.

I'm confused....how is your credit score tied to your auto insurance risk factor ?

Something like Married, No tickets, etc. makes sense, but I know folks with marginal credit that have spotless driving records.

Curious as to the connection between the two.

I never knew Costco even carried insurance....interesting, need to check this out.

While no statistic can represent each individual driver, on a big picture scale those with good credit scores tend to be better risks.

If you think about it, people with better credit tend to be more responsible in general. They tend to have less financial risk of committing fraud since they are less likely to be having money problems.
