Bought 2006 G35 Coupe SC

28,000 miles supercharged @ 19,000 miles with vortech sc kit... It seems to be only pushing 5psi.. Inifinity warrantied everything for 4 years for me... I am curious on how these things hold up over the years with the superchargers... Max psi or max hp on stock internals? I was thinking of using full synthetic redline 5w30 and redline tranny fluid as well? I've heard of these motors detonating but also heard of them being able to take a beating.. I had an rb20det for 7 years and redlined it everyday @ 10psi never had any issues... but then again it was factory turbo and a cast iron block... Any ideas on how to prolong the life and proper mods to safely run this supercharger... so far it feels fast as **** ... I just wanna be safe with my new baby...

I would take it to a competent Uprev protuner shop and have them check the tune. If its not spot on that's going to be the #1 cause of future headaches

If you're in WA check out Intec Racing in Kent, Lawrence the tuner has done many many many boosted VQ's and will be able to check it out for you. At a minimum I would do some dyno runs and check the air fuel and such. The problem is that most of these kits come with with the absolute bare minimum to make it go, not what you need to make it last. And of course the VQ is a needy, finicky bi_ch so a dyno tune is a must with any sort of FI

Been there, done that. lol

Infiniti dealer voided my normal and extended warranty on powertrain after taking car in for dimmer switch issues, car was only 2 years old at time and I'm the only owner since car new.

You have a warranty that may not cover powertrain, I would check the details.

Per the link above it is that car and this is what is done to it...

http://www.6mt.net/forum/cars-sale/3...lots-pics.html

Vortech Supercharger kit, Invidia Gemini 2.5 in. catback exhaust, MREV2 lower manifold, ½ in. plenum spacer, new injectors and 2 stage colder plugs installed with kit along with Walboro fuel pump. The car was custom tuned at Church Automotive Testing by Shawn Church himself using Osiris by UpRev (software updated Feb. ’12, so no hot start issues with tune etc.) ACT clutch AND flywheel, boost gauge on dash, NISMO shifter ****. IIRC the aftermarket stuff was put on around mile 19,700.
