New Compression Rods

Good evening all,

In my quest to exorcise the infamous front end clunk, I purchased a set of used OEM compression rods off of eBay last week. I would normally buy these new, but it was a great deal, and the seller was very responsive to my inquiries on the condition, ball joint play, etc. They came today (purchased 2-1-13), and they are in almost new condition. The bushings are perfect, and there is absolutely no play in the ball joints - feels brand new. I only paid $151.00 shipped for these, and think it is an outstanding deal. The seller has 2 more sets of these left which he said were also in like new condition.

If anyone is looking to purchase compression rods soon, I'd highly recommend looking into these. Just a compression rod PSA

I've included some photos of the rods I received, but he has several shots on the listing as well. The link to the listing is also below.

Edit: Mods, this might be better suited for the brakes/suspension forum.

I'd still replace the bushings. OEM, ES, Whiteline, whatever you like. They are cheap.

I'm going to throw them on as is for now because of how "new" they appear. I did just replace the LCA bushings with whitelines, and agree it's not a bad idea. The whiteline bushings are much better than OEM. Once these go, I'll definitely press some whitelines in there.

Friends don't let friends buy used suspension parts on freebay!
You can get new ones at that price at Auto Everything.
I did last month.
