Question A/t5 tranny/ diff - is this normal ?

Every time i shift i feel a noticeable feeling of movement coming either from the Auto tranny or the differential. I always wait a few secs when shifting from P to D or R and when i do its like i feel the gears engaging. Is this normal to feel that motion or is it smoother than that. I have 84k, i replaced all fluids at 60k

How many miles and when was the last time you've changed your fluid?

If in drive and sitting at a stop does the car want to surge forward and need to keep foot on brakes ?

If so than the band brake needs adjustment. Haven't noticed any problems reported with band brakes.

May have Engine/Transmission mounts that are loose or worn.

Rear differential bushing issues normally occur with built 6MT G's/Z's AT are less shock to drivetrain.
