G35 coupe engine clicking noise

Its a G35 2005 coupe. A few days ago It started making a clicking sound. It seams to come from the drivers side front part of the engine. I did a oil change thinking that maybe low oil level was the reason but It did not solve the problem.

Maybe someone in this forum knows what it could be. Here its a video;

Welcome to the infamous oil consumption issue, leave your car off for 30 min, let it cool then check the oil stick and check your oil level. If its low then you have a bad VQ engine, im going through the same problem right now myself

Sounds like valve tap possible low oil. When you did the oil change how many quarts did you put in? Nissan dipsticks are stupid very hard to tell where the oil is at. I just looked at the date of you post it was last month. Either you fixed it or your g is in the garage with a seized motor.

I went to an infiniti mechanic for an opinion. He said that it sounded like a decompress lifter. He reccomended using an oil aditive like Rislone to see it that helps. So far it keeps doing the clicking but its running ok, except that.

Next time use Lucas oil additive. That product is good, we spun a bearing on one of our cars in the shop, and that car was knocking, we put some Lucas for the hell of it. The noise was still there but got a lot quieter.
