Air intake

Hey I just bought my first g35 coup first of all when I was buying not what I was looking for spent 3 mins behind the wheel and feel in love...now if someone would not mind to help out a newb is it worth the money to buy an after market air intake system as compared to the stock one

Any particular I know most is left to speculation but what seems to get the best reviews

Awesome thanks...and about how much gain on average am I looking at with just intake

You should really search for a better understanding of intakes, much more info than you will get in a single thread like this.

I'll give you a helpful hint though, you buy intake for 1) The sound 2) The looks. You will very likely lose power with any intake out there, or if you do make any gains they will be minuscule.

Not much gain on the intake but the sound you will notice.

air intake

Dyno testing(s) indicate the stock airbox is the best design for performance. Use oem filters, as the after market filters do not filter enough of the particulates.

There are no gains to adding an air intake other than sound! Including a Z-Tube and a K&N drop in filter will give your engine a Growl which most of us enjoy. There is a mod where you drill a hole in your radiator support and direct air to you're filter via 3" hose for more whp gains....SEARCH!
