Long term updates for aftermarket clutch/flywheels?

I'm getting ready to order a new clutch/flywheel and wanted to see how your aftermarket ones are holding up. I was all ready to pull the trigger on the exedy/act combo and talked to one of the techs. He said that there are always some concerns on the aftermarket combos and that he saw one that had a problem where the spring fell out on the clutch.

He said that he would recommend going with a paired combo, ie act/act jwt/jwt etc. I'm trying to keep the clutch chatter down and that's why I was going to go with the act flywheel. The act clutch/flywheel combo seemed a lot pricier as well.

Any suggestions? I have read all the previous threads. Thanks.

Been running my JWT combo for almost 16 months now, so far so good. Only issue is the chatter noise from the lightweight flywheel. I did up my idle to 950 RPM but its still there. On hot days the car sounds like shiit, kinda used to it now lol. You can definitely feel the engine revving much quicker with the lighter flywheel.

Overall I'm pretty satisfied with the change. I would recommend the JWT if you can live with the chatter noise.

thanks, the chatter is the only drawback that I'm hearing about the jwt. I'm thinking of trying the exedy one piece flywheel (not the lightened racing version) and exedy clutch combo.

If you're willing to get the car tuned then up your idle to 950~rpm and it'll kill most of it. Id say a good 80% is gone.

Like I said above, you definitely notice the quicker upreving with the lighter flywheel.

Put my JWT clutch pack in at 47,000 and it's showing NO signs of trouble at 117,000.

Damn that's pretty good. Did the stock clutch go bad or did you just upgrade to JWT?

7 yearly Raging Bull Texas Stampedes took it's toll. It was gone.

Come to think of it, I believe it was 67,000 miles.
