What is this switch

I swear I have been looking in the manual and even tried looking for info online but I can't find out what this switch does. Can someone inform me please. Its under the steering wheel to the right. Its a silver metallic switch that goes up and down. Sorry for my ignorance.

I can't see your picture because my work is blocking it... but without seeing it I will provide some suggestions.

Possibly for aftermarket fog lights or a toggle switch for the Navigation system motion-lockout being able to detect if the car is moving, or possibly a switch to keep VDC permanently disabled? Maybe it powers an exhaust E-cutout like the previous poster suggested. Look around under your hood and see if you see any unusual aftermarket wiring coming from the firewall, and try to track where it goes to. Maybe the previous owner has a little compressor and air horns hidden somewhere in the engine bay and that switch powers them?

I assume you flipped it to see if it did anything?

I think you get the point though that it's aftermarket and not something standard. Check the suggestions above and see if it is any of those, other than that you can either follow wiring and try to figure it out or learn to live with never knowing.

By now you know you won't find it in our manual. It's in plain sight so I doubt it's a kill switch, mine are always hidden extremely well. NOS would be close to the shifter/steering wheel. Like a few members posted, follow the wires or maybe it's to confuse the hell out of the next owner and there are no wires!

That's such a great idea, add a few extra switches right before selling it and just have wires dead ended under the dash somewhere. Then, watch for a post on here when the next owner is trying to figure out what they would be for.

That's a lot of effort to f with somebody, and you are assuming that this forum is widely viewed by everyone selling a G.
