G35 sedan w/ too much money in mods

I found a lot of threads on it such as this one. https://g35driver.com/forums/g35-cou...osition+Sensor
I know it gets old to hear us always say search but it really is a useful function.

exactly. yup that was the part that was confusing me. yes the code was P1078. to me, it sounded like they were two different parts??
nevertheless i changed the camshaft position sensor (passenger side bank 1) and still the light is on.

well, ok, I did a little more searching, and even though code may say bank 1, when both are changed by dealer, code goes away.... so you might have to replace bank 2 even though code thrown is bank 1

thanks! ill keep you in mind. gettin the diagnostic done tomorrow. hopefully thisll answer some questions
Hey let me know if this solution works for you I am getting the same code except for the driver side which I replaced and the code came back. Are you experiencing performance issues also?
you got it. crazy thing is.. ive been driving on this with the light on for about 4 months now..no lie. just recently (past week) has performance been a problem. 4k rpm is when the car starts to really make power. before that rpm range it feels like my old civic
ok im back. and everything is PERFECT. couldnt be happier. the sensor that was throwing off the car was the sensor next to the bank 1 CPS. its about 6 inches to the left (looking into the engine bay) from the CPS. both have green tabs on them. this is the EVT sensor. the idle is back to 600rpms, exhaust is WAY louder and power being made where it should be. no shudders. the code for this EVT is 23731-6J90B. after the install i was even suprised my z tube sounded way louder too. some dude asked if i was turbod...lol
anyways hopes this helps.

I've got the same code on my 05 Coupe. I replaced the Passenger side Cam Position Sensor, the light went off for about 2 days, and then came back on. I've been driving it around though, since performance isn't too badly wrekd
but the light is still on, and low end performance sucks ***. Reading this post I tried looking up part # 23731-6J90B and it keeps giving me the Bank 2 Cam Position Sensor.. is this the part?? Because you also said that it is about 6" away from the bank 1 CPS, making me confused of what sensor you're talking about :P I mean i don't mind replacing the Bank 2 CPS sensor as well, but just wanna make sure it will get me closer to flipping off the CEL Thanks a bunch for your time!
(Super new to this sorry)
