okay bare with me because I am new. but I bought a bcm for my 04 coupe 6mt off a wrecked g35 it was tested and everything. I took it to infiniti to get put in after they installed it it worked for about 6 hours then stopped again. does anyone know what could be wrong?

are you sure it was the same part number as the one your car took?
if you can give me the VIN for your vehicle I can verify the BCM number, and if that's not the one you have now, it's not going to work

im guessing infiniti would've confirmed its compatibility prior to installing it for the owner

 

I matched the part number with my factory bcm. and made sure that I asked if it was compatible. it worked perfect for probably 6-7 hours and then just stopped. I'm thinking it could be wiring harness maybe? or they programmed it wrong? my vin is JNKCV54E44M823805. thank you

it could be the wiring harness, could be the part isn't any good after all....

Okay the one that was in my car before was 284b1-ac301. But you're sayin it's 361 so maybe its the wrong one. Or do you know where to get a wiring harness? Other than the dealership

 

the AC301 has to be 361 there's no 301 so mabye the 0 is messed up a little...
however, talked to a tech, and you need to go back to the dealership, see if it's a possible ground strap issue

 

I really appreciate all your help. I will get back to you after I go to the dealership and let you know if that's what it was
