Anyone trade 04 for an 05?

I'm thinking about trading my 04 coupe for the 05 model. I was wondering if anyone has done this yet. I have 12600 miles on it. How much money would I lose if I make the upgrade?

Thanks!

It would be an upgrade, but calling it so would give you buyer's remorse.

Id consider it an upgrade, only if you currently have an 04 automatic...Other then that the damn Brembo's themself are enough to keep me planted in an 04...Not to mention, your looking at taking a huge loss in the pocket...It makes sense if the car was completely redesigned, but the exterior is the same and so is everything else with some minor touch ups in the interior and some extra hp's...But with less Torque...I'd save my cash if I were you and trade it in when a GTR comes..

i'm considering the trade from an 04 5AT to an 05 6MT.. have always regretted a little bit getting the auto, but lately, i've been regretting it more than ever.. i would just return my car to stock and pretty much transfer all the parts onto the 05.. *sigh* i would take a big hit since it's been a little over a year for the car and i have 26K on it.. then again, i've been thinking bout switching cars all together.. who knows.. 5AT is good for cruising, but it's definitely getting more and more boring to me..

i totalled my 04 5AT and my insurance said the market price is 30,000, they are giving me a check for that much, plus taxes, minus my deductible... i bought an 05 6MT for sticker (37k)

if you sell your car for around 31,000, then buy an 05 6MT (37,000 + taxes (3,000=40,000)), and youll be down about 9 grand.....

its up to you...9 grand is a bit pricey for an "upgrade" if you ask me

Hey yeah I would not exactly call it an upgrade..despite the fact that they actually improved the interior and its much better looking than the original..could they not have had this better looking interior from day one! geez.

YEah I agree..you'll lose easy 4-8 g's for the "upgrade"..not worth it. If anything I would wait till the m45 comes out, now thats a car!

yeah, its gonna be a big hit, and only for a year's differ model. I don't think its worth it at all. Your gonna be losing out close to 8-9K easy. Just be happy with what you got, at least for a few more years. 2-3 years that is.

Do you guys like the 05 better?
IMHO I cant find any new features that i would prefer on the 05 rather than the 04. I can however find many things that I do not want. They would include the loss of the Brembos(was a great selling feature to me), the change of the rims(04's are much better looking IMO),and the interior changes(I personnaly like the 04 better).
What reasons am I missing that you would want to change?

i think its all a matter of opinion. i for one am goning to see my dealer next week to trade in my 04 6mt for the 05 6mt.
the 04 didnt come with a beige leather interior and now i can have my 'dream combination...black exterior/beige interior. not to mention 19" rims, 298HP, true ALUMINUM console and finally............BEING ABLE TO SAY THAT MY 'G' HAS MORE HP THAN YOUR 'Z'..............PRICELESS!!

Have you seen the 19's in person? I can't imagine anyone who has seen the 19's in person to say they think the '04 rims are much better looking.
