Exactly........most of us aren't into clutter which is what the trunk lid of a OE G35 looks like. To each there own, like you mentioned!

Stock badges do look nice, but I'm thinking about just taking off the G35 badge and leaving the Infiniti logo and lettering up there. Makes it give the car a more clean and symmetrical look.

I just took the G35 off my trunk lid today. Mine is a 2003 so I wasn't sure if it would leave a shadow, and it did. It is so very light that the average Joe won't be able to see it, but I know where they were and it bugs me a little. I'm gonna rub it out next weekend (the shadow) and it should go away completely. I like the look, it will keep them guessing.

I have an 03 as well and took everything but the Mt. Fuji off about 6 months ago. I don't think it looks terrible with the original badges but I started with the G35 then kept removing. My opinion is that the Mt. Fuji breaks up the trunk a bit. If you have a diffuser or spoiler it helps some, but the plain trunk lid seems to be missing something when nothing is there.

For what its worth, I had ghosting and used Scratch X a couple different times after a wash and it helped but didn't solve it. I haven't tried the buffing or anything but the sun definitely has made it basically unnoticeable.

I always liked the badging but it does look good without it. Debadged cars always seem to be missing something to me. And I like the rims lol.

I know it may be cliche and corny, but I've always fancied the full debadging and tinted tail lights.. It just moves me...

(on a non-black car of course, black just looks dumb)
