Torque android app + eBay bluetooth OBDII?

Anyone have the cheap ebay bluetooth OBDII adapter? http://www.ebay.com/itm/261077090098?_trksid=p5197.c0.m619
Also, I know most people use the Torque app with it, but I wanted to see if anyone knew of any better alternatives? The Torque interface is kind of dated...

I have that same adapter, was like $20 from Amazon. I also use the Torque app, I actually bought both for my Audi A4 and they work great, no complaints.

Hmm, that's strange, mine has been working great for almost a year. Lots of people are running the same one and don't have any issues.

I also have the cheap obII bluetooth adapter. It used to work great and now it doesn't. It worked on 4.1.x I blame the new android os though . There are some serious issues in 4.2.x jelly bean with bluetooth. The poster with the nexus 7 is probably having that issue.

Hmm, I haven't tried it with the newest Jellybean update yet.

Yeah I've heard of the bluetooth issues as well. I'm on 4.2.2 so I'm not sure if they've fixed it yet.

Does it pull all the info from our car?

Also, are any of you aware of any apps that will allow us to unlock the car with our phone?

I feel it should be possible since Verizon launched this: http://www.verizonwireless.com/wcms/...agnostics.html

Few things wrong with it - it's $250, eventually has a monthly fee, and it's currently not compatible with our car.
