Chrome Side Marker Bulbs

What do you guys think of these?

http://www.cardomain.com/item/PILXC194A

I just got clear side-markers and wanted to put these bulbs in instead of the amber ones, so when the lights are off, you don't see the orange bulb inside, but when the lights are on, it still lights up amber, so it's legal. Do any of you have any experience with this kind of bulb? Does the chrome wear out?

In my old BMW, I had just painted the amber bulbs. The light wasnt quite as strong obviously but it was a good coat that looked great. Saved myself some $$$ instead of buying new bulbs.

My co-workers 330i has the silver off, amber on "stealth" bulbs.

Personally, I think they look great.

I had something like those on my TL... The chrome never faded and the amber was so nice... it was a good buy... plus it took away the ugly orange glare...

where do those go? To the things on the bumper, like turn signals? If so, I thought it wasnt illegal to have them another color. I thought only the ones inside the headlight were illegal.

They have been out on the market for awhile. I know of many people who put them in their Scooby's.

I put the chrome bulbs with amber illumination in. I bought them off of Ebay for like $6 shipped from gigabargains (Ebay ID, not sure if they still post on there). They look and work great.

anyone have a pic? I ordered an amber bulb because I lost the original orange bulbs that came with my clear corners, but the orange no longer looks orange. It's orange, but very dull. Anyone know where I can actually get a bright orange?

Just got them in today, and they SUCK! Definitely not bright, or amber enough. I'm starting to like the white light, so i'm just gonna get the PIAA extreme whites for the sidemarkers and the clearance lights.
