Cruise control "set" but doesn't actually work?
06 coupe 6mt. I have the RJM bracket so I know the clutch switch and brake switch are set good,
I'm not going too fast or slow, I've tried it at most speeds from 60kph to 130kph
If I turn cruise on, the light works. I press set, the SET light comes up. Nothing happens. I press accelerate (button on the wheel, not the pedal) and it still slows down.
Now, with the SET light on and it doing nothing, if I do press the brake or clutch the SET light shuts off. So I feel like the G *thinks* its actually in cruise. No flashing lights or errors..
Any ideas? This system is electronic and not vacuum controlled since the car is drive by wire, correct? Just ruling out if I should look for a vacuum leak..

i wish i could help, but when i press cruise in mine im still on the gas, then i push the set buttom down, and let off gas and it should be cruising...? while the up and down on the cruise panal adjust speeds +/-
I'm not sure whats going on with yours
sorry Maybe a fuse? if you have free time, I'd suggest taking it into a mechanic you can trust to diagnose the problem.

It did work before, exactly how you described yours did. The only thing I've done since I last used cruise was osiris, but I'm 90% sure I have used it since I flashed too..
Is it possible to cut out cruise in any way with osiris? I just flashed a rom with no ETC (electronic throttle cut) but I'm not sure why that would effect it. I'm doing lots of highway soon so I hope someone can help me troubleshoot this.

Ahh I dont know what to do. I'll check the pedal switches again and reflash to an older rom with ETC. but I'm still open to suggestions cause this is blowing my mind haha. how can it say its set and not keep a set speed?! I've heard of the set light flashing with errors.. but this thing thinks its doing its job so wtf :/

SOLVED!!!!
It must be ETC related.. I reflashed to an previous rom with ETC still enabled, cruise works fine now.
Hopefully this comes in handy to someone else that googles for this issue later on. I'm going to email uprev and see if they have a fix for it, or if they even know about this issue.
Edit: Hans at UpRev said "The ETC Control setting basically bypasses much of the complicated throttle calculation code, and replaces it with a basic "throttle opening = accelerator pedal position" mapping. Unfortunately this setting also has the effect of disabling cruise control. There is no way around that at this time."
I probably should have realized that ETC = electronic throttle CONTROL, not throttle CUT. Although it does both.. hence the weak *** burnouts on stock G/Z without the G-sensor orange wire switch/cut.
