SEIBON TS hood installed! Paint it?..

Decided to keep it CF for the time being as we just found out our new boxer puppy requires eye surgery. I will look into wrapping to roof though as that sounds like a good idea and I think it would look good. Can't be that much; right? Wonder how well it holds up/lasts? Anyone?

Contacted a wrap place in regards to the roof. Said it would be $2-250. They use 3M vinyl and they have matte black and Oracal black carbon fiber in stock. They do not currently have gloss black. Here s a link for install of the Oracal black carbon fiber.
Either this or gloss black if I do it...

If it aint CF dont wrap it to look like it. That's my personal opinion. Don't PlastiDip it unless you have a shop that has experience and the right sprayer, an area that big is too hard to make look right with rattle cans. PlastiDip CAN look just like a wrap if done properly but WILL look like crap if done wrong.

Ive had a friend that almost his whole car was carbon fiber. He owned an Mazda RX-8 and he painted it carribean blue over it. He used a special type of paint that seem to be see thru. It looked REALLY nice because his car was blue, but you could still see the carbon fiber trim underneath the paint. Basically, a Blue carbon fiber car.

Leaving the hood as of now. I am lucky enough to be stationed in Oklahoma, so every vehicle wrap place does not have 3M gloss black in that big of a roll. I took a look at the "carbon fiber" and did not care for it at all. It was not glossy and it was textured... All wrap shops have my contact info whenever and if ever they get what I need. Might check out Around in Texas when I'm at Jotech for my tune. We will see...
