My Various Coupe Newbie & Mod Questions
also what else on the exterior could use help body wise .... i just picked this thing up last week ... i dont want anything crazy since i do appreciate the clean stock look .. i feel the front bumper could be a bit lower to be even with the side skirts ??
Rubbing depends on the wheel offsets. The ones in that pic look pretty sunk in, so probably won't have any issues. Might need to roll the rear quarter panels though.

G35 sedan w/ too much money in mods

Don't waste your time with springs. DO it right and get coilovers from the start, most offer dampening ability and the flexibility of setting them as high or as low as you want. A LOT of us learned that the hard way wasting money, time, and effort on springs only to end up with coils.
Yes. Unless you have unlimited funds for tires and/or don't drive the car very much.
do alot of reading if you are not sure what this will entail for you..you will need to figure out springs or coilovers..if you go with springs your gonna want aftermarket shocks..you will need at least a rear camber kit and depending on how low a front kit as well..then alignment, possibly a roll but ive gotten away without a roll..good luck
I am not against springs (even though I will never get them ever again and haven't had them on a car since 99') and for your wants/needs, you don't NEED coilovers. I'll offer some input.
If you plan on going lower than 2inches at any point, then do coilovers. With that, however, you will need camber arms, rolled fenders, touch-up paint, patience, and a slightly deep wallet. Riding low looks great (as does BEING low) but it does come at a cost. Please please please do yourself a favor and consider that heavily before doing it. Make sure it is an expense that you WANT and are prepared to take on. However, also know that to get quality coilovers for the small amount of a drop you want is going to cost you every bit of a grand as oppossed to a couple hundred for spings to do the same thing.
For your initial question, Eibach springs will get you where you need to be. I would get the G35 Sportlines as opposed to the Z sportlines because even though our cars are fairly identical, the Z springs go lower (because the G is heavier) and with 20's, your room is limited.
Based on eyeballing your car, and not knowing offset or specs, I would geuss those to be 20x9.5 +43r 20x8 +35f. If I'm anywhere in the ballpark, then you have just a hair under 2inches of lowering room with no real issues. You wouldn't need to roll your fenders nor would I suggest a camber kit. I would, however, suggest an alignment. If you forgo it, it wouldn't be the end of the world.
There's a lot to consider but make sure you do your research and good luck.

awesome , thank you very much ... ya know now that i look at the car standing eye level with the tires from several feet away , the gap is only like an inch so id only wanna go an inch if anything any more then that i think i might have issues
