Angry Help, car sometimes runs like crap, dies, but not all the time.

I've had the car for about two years. No issues.

Stillen Stage IV setup when I bought it.

I accelerate and it will just buck and buck like a horse. Then I have to gas it to keep from dying. I had to pull over on the freeway w/my hazards b/c it died.

Was able to start it again, and got it going. Then it happened again.

Now it seems fine and just occasionally hiccups.

I'm a bit afraid to drive this sucker as I commute 40 miles/day in this on bridges, etc.

Think it's fuel-related? I have no error codes whatsoever.

Bad gas? Bad injector? Fuel pump maybe on its way out?

Car has 74k miles. Fuel pump was replaced by a higher output one due to the Stillen Stage IV setup, plus I think a 7th injector???

Do other sensors go bad w/o throwing a code? Like Cam or crank sensors?

No. Well..maybe, but I bought the car already w/the SC on it. I guess a reputable shop did it up here in Everett, WA.

Anyone ever have any issues like what I have w/o any error codes?

could be a bad MAP sensor or vaccuum leak or bad tune.

Error codes for MAP Sensor:

P1103 MAP Sensor Heater
P1104 MAP Sensor Heater

Again, I get NO codes.

Car was running great for the past two years. Doubt it's a bad tune.

Vacuum leak, I'll check, but again, I didn't touch anything in the engine compartment for years. I'm suspecting a fuel issue. No one else?

i would try clean the map sensor while inspecting for vaccum leaks. Your either not getting enough air or the computer thinks your not getting enough air... thats why you have to rev the engine..IE let in more air to keep the car from stalling because the car is throwing in too much fuel.

Okay, problem fixed.

Stupid Stillen air filter came off the mount and probably was screwing up the MAF sensor inside.

Re-attached it after cleaning. Got error codes this time. WEird. Cleared them.

Car runs great.

Thanks folks!
