help please rattling noise
The heat shield is the cover on your OE converters or it could be an exhaust leak.
Take your G to your local muffler shop and ask them to check your system. They'll be able to weld your heat shield and it won't cost much....if that's what we're hearing....Gary

Not yet, I will be taking it to a muffler shop tomorrow so they can take a look at it and hopefully get it fixed.

If you have a jack at home then try jacking the car up a bit so you can reach the heat shield with a screw driver, turn the car on and then push on the heat shield with the screw driver a bit just to see if the rattle stops. Mine was making a somewhat similar noise and that's how I figured out it was the head shield. I ended up taking them off and the car has been rattle free since then, well not rattle free but at least THAT rattle is gone!
Yes the cat, they lifted the car and started hitting the exhaust system. When they hit the right cat we heard the rattle. He asked if the check light was on but it has never came on, not sure if the check light has to be on in order for the cat to be bad.
