Scratches behind door handles
Scratches behind door handles
Have you notice your G's getting light scratches behind the door handles? How can this be prevented? They should make a clear stick on to go behind the door handles to prevent this.
This is the part of the car that tends to be used when shutting the door after getting out. So whats happening is your hand rubs any dust partcles on the car acting as "sand paper". My advice is use the door handle by grabbing it and giving it a light push. It can also be people leaning against the car around there.
you know ive noticed that to especially on the driver side, I have no nails and have NEVER touched the inside of the door handle area when I open the car and there still a few scratches there. Don't get how that happend. Anyways after I was it usually use a little bit of buff/wax it comes off.
I live in Arkansas and I don't know of any Clearbra dealers in this area.
Has anyone used clearbra and if so how do you like it. I think it would be great for the front of your car, but am concerned about 5yrs down the road when is starts to come off. What will it look like then?

You can try some ScratchX to remove the scratches and wax afterwards.
I don't get scratches there, but clearbra would help.
But clearbra is very soft and swirls even easier than paint which will
reveal more scratches althought it won't be scratching the actual paint.

You can also have the Same 3M material that used for the clearbra installed into the door cups. It comes pre-cut/pre-made for our cars...I have it installed on my coupe......
Not sure if this was suggested up above.. to lazy to read all the posts!

dragnfli, I'm in little rock and I have quite a bit of 3m clear left over from my bumper/hood install. The installer gave me the everything left over.. which was alot. I planned on doing the door sills and the rear of the front/rear wheel arches. I think I have enough to do that and give you some pieces for the door handle. Would be nice to have the template, that not much chance of that. Will have to make a paper cutout first. I also have a sprayer, alcohol, squeege needed.
Its not going to lay down easily in there. :/ its like 2x the thickness of a PDA screen protector. Its pretty stiff. Might need alittle heat and some stretching. Nothing we couldnt do in 20 mins.
