Anyone know if its possible to remove only the back part of the driver seat to put it on a different bottom part of the seat as well as a different rail?

my current seat has been having some issues like tear on the left side also the motors have stopped working so im going to purchase another whole seat off a member.

however the member said the back part of his seat has some slight tears in it so im wondering if i can take my back part and replace his torn part.

any DIY or instructions?

 

If not.. you can always have it reupholstered for probably $200-$300 bucks. (could be less)

 

yeah could do that also, the member im buying it from told me he got quoted of about $40 for the upholstery but just figured im pretty handy so just thought i could figure out how to replace the back seat save myself $40 and learn something new
