You have lost your mind, I wouldn't drive a coupe if you bought me one.

I believe stock for stock, coupes do look better from the factory. However as a sedan owner myself, I believe that a sedan when modified can rival the looks of any coupe out there. Not just by a lip here and a drop there, but properly (and considerably) modified.

I agree with your comments but still wouldn't drive a coupe, it's not practical enough for me.

Any person who knows diddly squat about drag racing will tell you that comparing times from different tracks on different days is like comparing different dyno's on different days. Times can vary greatly just from day to day and from different tracks. What are your times BTW?

Would you like to see a video of myself racing sedan's that are WAY more modded than I am? Would you?

Look at the video. That's my coupe racing again sedan's that are geared, cammed and tuned against my slightly modded coupe with only bolt on's and tune. Your claim that sedan's are WAYYYY more faster than coupes is idiotic. It's a driver's race.

Why are you taking his post so personally? Really?

Why do you keep using "way" and capitalizing it (for emphasis I assume)? I don't see Blue Dream posting in this thread that sedans are "way" faster.

Not taking it personally. Just stating the facts. Read the last sentnce and watch the video.

This is coming from one of the very few people on this forum who used to drag race my G (at the track) against other G's and Z's on a regular basis.

Still not seeing the "way" posted by Blue Dream

Anyway, Blue Dream has a point though, sedans in theory are faster because of less weight. Of course that does not mean that every sedan who races a coupe will win, but in theory, assuming equal driving skills, the sedan should.

The weight difference is so minute. In a 3400lb car, with about 250whp, a 100 lbs will not make a significant difference. In a 2200lb car, yes.

The "equal driving skills" part is also moot. You'll be hard pressed to have two drivers with equal "skills". There are too many factors involved:

In the real world, things such as tires, driver weight, fluid weight, junk in the trunk, etc. Unless you have two drivers than can pull consistent E.T's and 60ft times within .1 of each other each every time...

The difference will also vary in between coupe vs coupe and sedan vs sedan and even G vs Z.

Simmer down there J, this thread is a lighthearted jab at the coupe guys and had remained so for 3 pages until you came in here all nuclear. No need to be so touchy, maybe you had a few too many Jager bombs last night? As dominate said I never mentioned the word "way" ever because that would have changed the light tone of the thread immediately.

So folks, let's take the back and forth back to a friendly tone or I'll just shut the thread down, which would be a shame since it was going so well.

I agree, it will take an enormous amount of money for a sedan to be on the same visual level as a coupe. A car that resembles a brick can't even compare to one that has a unique body styling even to this day, which other car manufacturers are trying to copy.
