alright, so some quick background info:
-car has been in storage for 5 months, took it out today

anyways, driving it was just fine except for 1 problem:

whenever i came to a full stop, the "oil pan with that dripping thing" light came on. (not sure if thats oil change light or oil pressure)
continued....the light came on and the RPM was the first line after 0. however, as soon as i gave it some gas it went away.

anyone have any idea what the problem might be? this problem did not occur before i put it away for storage btw

 

Low oil? 5 months could have leaked... I'm not an engine pro though sorry

 

Yes, I would check the oil first thing and honestly a change wouldn't be a bad thing with it sitting that long. I believe the light indicates pressure though I could be wrong

 

Usually that light is indicative of a low oil pressure which can mean either not enough fluid or the fluid is diluted and too thin to provide proper lubrication.

Remember condensation can and will find itself into the block therefore it will accumulate and mix with the oil.

For safety's sake I would change the OIL but prior to that I would also check the level just to be sure that the fluid was at its designated target level. ( to give you a slightly better idea of the potential problem )

 

Don't drive it with that light on.

 

5 months? Yep first thing I'd do is change that oil.
