Not sure if this has been asked before:

Is there a way to make the doors stay open on our Coupes? Like put a weight or something inside the door to counter-balance it? Minor issue I know, but quite annoying when you are working inside your car and need to keep the doors open.

 

U need to replace the door check links.

 

Just park with the front of the car faced down hill in you driveway. The door stays go out because of the angle of the door how it opens. It opens at a slight upward angle. If you need the door to stay open use a vice grip and clamp the door stay next to the door with a rag so it don't scratch anything.

 

Hey guys, I have a 04 coupe and just hit 148k miles I went to grab food today and when I shut my car off and got out I noticed the right exhaust kept smoking but for some reason the left one didn't. Stuck my hand in the tailpipes and only the right one was warm. Is there some sort of clog in the exhaust or something ? Also it has the resonator removed but its been like that forever.

 

Hey guys, whats this little chip thingy on the side of my key, i didnt notice it until i cracked my key odviously. Any ideas? I have an 03 g35 coupe a/t

 

DO NOT LOSE THAT CHIP YOUR CAR WILL NOT START. That chip is for the transponder for the ecu to recognize that you have the right key and aren't try to steal the car.

 

 

Oh hahaha good thing i noticed it, off the head u guys know how much for a new car key from dealer bc mine cracked, ...... And so that means even with my spear key it wont turn on?

 

I don't know about Infiniti specifically, but I know people with other cars who have paid around $200

 

Your spare key will work but if you lose the chip for that broken one that key won't work. I got an uncut key from amazon for $10 and got it cut and programmed for $50 at a local lock Smith in my area.

Yes, replace the "Link-Door Stopper" part number: 80430-CD000 It's only ~$30, so a reasonably cheap fix. So happy I replaced mine, got tired of the busted shins .

I didn't know they were only $30 is the each or for both? I never priced them I like have the auto close feature but my girlfriend hates it it's pretty funny watching her get in and out. Lol
