Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 experience?

I know the GS-D3 tires have been discussed in the past regarding performance and comfort, but I'd be interested to hear from anyone first hand that has these tires on their coupe and what your "comfort" experience has been (particularly in regards to road noise).

I'm about to replace my stock Pilot Sports...and since I do not run at a track or anything more than a spirited freeway run ever now and then, I'm most interested in hopefully eliminating some of the road noise that I've experienced with the Pilots. So if you've been able to run with these on your coupe, please let me know your thoughts and how many miles you have on them. Thanks in advance!

I use GS-D3s on my cooper-s. They are great tires. Not the quietest, but much
quieter than S03's especially after half worn.

btw, what kind of road noise are you referring to? Could be your toe-in is too severe.

I guess the road noise I'm referring to is the "roar" that penetrates into the cabin at certain speeds. While I know low profile performance tires aren't really built for comfort, I am hoping to find the ones that are a good balance of silence and performance. The Pilots have gotten so progressively worse (particulary after the first 10k miles) that it's almost hard to have a conversation while riding on the concrete highways here in Houston.

I'm interested in the Goodyears as well. I know Consumer Reports rated them as the best ultra-high performance tires. I have about 6K miles on my Pilots (2004 G35 Coupe automatic), and although handling is incredible, I could do without the road noise.

I'd also like to know if they make the Goodyear Eagle GS-D3 in the sizes for the G35 coupe. Last I checked, I think the Goodyears came in a smaller size.
