Unhappy What is Going on ??

Well my cousin just got a new 350z so i wanted to race him to see if i could beat him. His car is stock but my car has the RSR exhaust (Only to Mid-pipe) and the Injen CAI. So we raced from a dead stop and he counted to 3 to take off. Well we took off and he was ahead of me about a car length @!$!@!$!! ?? We did 2 runs and he beat me both times. I am guessing it is because i have almost no thread left on my tires. But has anyone here beat a 350z from dead stop. Oh yea we both have 6mt and yes my VDC was off.

Yeah, that sounds about right really. Are you sure your launch was as good as his and if your tires are that bad, you would have been spinning them and not getting traction? The Z is faster than the G, but up top they are really close. How many gears did you race through?

the Z is lighter, and has a couple horses more. depending on the driver though, a Gcoupe 6mt can take a Z from a dead stop stock for stock.

I can, but...on a side note: what's up with not replying to my email regarding the JWT clutch and flywheel cost, Jim?

Yea, i was actully spinning out for awhile but my 2nd run with him i didnt. I did smash my peddle. We only raced to 3rd gear. Maybe we need to find a longer road

The fastest stock Zs run 13.7. The fastest stock Gs run around 14 seconds. In other words, Z will win this race convincingly.

Nest time u race after one go around switch cars, maybe ur cousin is a better driver. Also if you have a 3rd person do the countdown it will give you both equal chance of reaction time.

Z is lighter in weight. Next time use good tires and switch drivers as it involves another variable.
