What tint setup you have?

I'm getting my windows tinted next weekend and I want to choose a clean/badass setup. I was thinking of 5% in the rear and maybe 35% in the fronts but then I realized the difference would be way to much so I'm thinking possibly 25% in the front. That's going to be beyond illegal here in Cali haha but I'm willing to risk it.

Any recommended setups and what tints % do you guys have?

Agreed. 5% is retarded unless you dont plan on ever looking out of that window again. especially at night. Go 20-25% all around and be dont. I did 30% all around and love it. I wish it was darker, say 20%, but my car is too light of a color to pull it off. It would be a cop magnet.

Does the difference in the windows look odd?

At the top of this page is a sticky that discusses tint and what % should be used. Check what your state allows and what it will cost you if you install tint that's too dark. I'm using 35% back and sides and haven't been pulled over....yet!

I had 20R and 35F on my 240. I cudnt really tell a noticeable difference visually, tho actually my fronts registered 20 or 25 with a scanner when I went for an inspection sticker.

I have 35% all around, minus the windshield. I'm planning on doing 50% on the windshield in the future. I'm gonna be doing a lot of night driving so I don't want it to be too dark...plus with this setup I'm still legal lol

I'll post pic later today or tomorrow of my windshield, you could barely tell it's tinted, but it definitely does make the rest look darker since there's less light going into the car.

I have 30 I think ? I did mine years ago.. and if I had more time right now I would try and find it for you but I did some type of aluminum? .. its some kind of different tint that never fades. I have had my tint on for 7 years and it looks like it was done yesterday. I think I paid 3x what a normal tint job costs and for me on Long Island.. only 2 people in NY state had the tint so I had to drive upstate (about a 2.5 - 3 hour drive to have them done) haha.. I had the time and wanted to do it right though and am glad I did because it still looks amazing 7 years later. Well worth spending the extra money and doing it right.

dont do 5%.. youll get like 5 tint tickets and come here to rant. plus you cant even see when its dark, i have 20% all around, never been stopped, visibility is good. My interior is light so you cant really tell its over the limit, but it looks great

Most tinting shops have a great warranty system. If your tints start to fade or become dull in any way then you can go back and get a fix no charge. Well at least that's how they work in my area.

5% in the back not the fronts... The fronts with 5% woild be Wayyy too dark for me. I doute 30% will get me many tickets unless the cop is a ***.
