i had 18 on all windows except windshield and loved it...looked clean as hell...failed inspection since my state is dumb...had to have it taken off...i want to get tint put back on but i dont think 35 percent (which is legal) will be dark enough for me to justify spending the 150-200 bucks...

i wonder if a 25 percent tint would keep the fuzz off my back should i ever get pulled over, becuase i definitely dont want to have to pay to have it removed...once was enough

 

i love the look of 5% however , its not worth the no visibility at night or the ticket, go 20% like everyone else said

 

do 20% all around. it makes the car look a ton cleaner!

This is my current set up for $70 both driver and passenger door 18%. Quarter panels are at 5%

 

I have 5% all around, no tint on windshield. It was the best decision I ever made. The car stays very cool even with the Florida heat. Mine is a DG with black leather. Don't drive like a dick and you won't get pulled over. Obviously depends on your city cops as well.

This is info from the sticky here, but with an eye-doctors note, you cannot be given tickets for visibility issues because of tint*, so any darkness is legal.

True, but you need to be at an understanding with your eye doctor about how dark you want to go. I asked my eye doctor about getting a note for tint and didnt think to mention how dark i wanted it. needless to say he was an a$$hat and wrote it up for 50% ( the legal limit in MN) so the note is just a fancy piece of rolling paper... I'm going to bring it up next time I am in there to see if he will modify the note so I can go darker, like 20%. I love my 30% but its just not enough...

15% all around, I always roll my windows down when I get pulled over and turn lights on plus Philly cops don't care, suburbs they have nothing better to do so different story

 

I totally agree, I live in Ontario Canada and you can't get a better look for your G than 5% tint! Just drive normal and act right on the road and you won't get pulled over.

 

I ended up getting 5% in the back and 25% in the front. Looks pretty good and doesn't seem to bother me too much. Definitely recommend this setup.

 

I just got my car tinted a few weeks ago but I need to wipe them down. The guy who installed them said to not use any glass cleaner with ammonia. So, since Windex is out, any recommendations on what to use?

 

I use a cheaper 99 cents version of windex and it works just fine.
