Earliest time for a 2006?
Earliest time for a 2006?
I have signed up on this forum for a couple of months now, and I have been learning about all I can about the G35. I was planning on buying one in a few months, probably like in the summer, but I was thinking I should hold off and just order a 2006 because the wait wouldn't be much longer. I was just wondering if you guys had any information on when the dealers usually get the next years model, or anything that can possibly help me out about getting a 2006. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If infiniti hasn't done anything special as they did this year, then I'd say the middle of the year....if the 05's are close to all being gone...but as long as 05's are hot, then it will be pushed back till fall.
The only changes I can imagine on the '06s Coupes would yet another wheel design, and of course, changes in colors. Maybe memory seats and Intelligent Key and more powerful, better stereo.

I'll give the same advice that people gave me when I was looking into buying my motorcycle: "If you like what the current year has to offer, then buy it." Otherwise you will wait for the 06, but if you waited that long might as well wait for the 07, but wait...supposedly some friend of a friend of a sales manager for Infiniti said they will redesign in 08!
You get the point. It seems that it's in our nature to always want more. As I am sure you read in most of the threads in this forum, the G35 is an amazing car as it is. Sure, every year they will add little things to make it better here and there, and a redesign is probably coming around in a few years, but hey, if a deal presents itself when you are ready, might as well go for it!
OK, just my 2 cents...

if you wait until the 06 is out, it wont be long until the 07 is out.
and then if you wait and save a little more, youll be able to get the infiniti gtr..
then if you wait a little longer...
i dont think its worth it to wait much longer. the 05 has fixed many of the previous issues and is unlikely to introduce any significant new ones. Its a solid car (as the 03/04s were) and is worth the money. i suggest you buy it now. Six months of owning a g35 is worth a lot in itself.

i agree--go for the 2005 model. The interior changes alone are worth it.
The only option that I wish I had was the Intelligent Key... I hope we will be able to add it on as a dealer option (without costing an arm and a leg)
Also, a new keyfob would be nice.

Are the interior changes really that noticeable in the 05? When I was looking at them at the dealer it didn't appear all that different than the 04. One thing I didn't like was that the seat in the 05 were actually too bolstered and my outer thighs tended to be sitting on top of the bolsters instead of on the flat part of the seat between them.
I think I need to go back and look again....
