Time to freshen up my worn suspension
Time to freshen up my worn suspension
Hey guys my car has got 74000 miles on her and feel like the shocks and springs could be freshened up a bit.
im not looking for coilovers, pretty much just a stock ride, but better...feel many more bumps than i would like.
a drop of less than an inch would be acceptable but i dont want to have to get a camber kit.
i have heard a few places about using tein s 350z springs that drop the car a tiny bit and would give me a newer suspension feel.
Also looking to replace the shocks...any suggestions for good quality shocks
thanks in advance
car is an 05 6mt btw

I don't think the springs wear out this quickly. But you could try Swift springs, they are supposed to be good. As for struts, I see Tokico "HP" replacements online... they are a good brand, but I'm not sure if this is same/less/more performance than stock...
Springs are fine unless you are looking for a lower or somewhat stiffer setup. If you are looking for the comfortable, stock like ride your best bet is to just replace your shocks with oem shocks or an aftermarket setup that is very close to oem. If you change to anything more performance oriented, the ride quality will suffer a bit.
If you are looking for a drop of less than an inch, you may be more interested in looking at 350z or g35 htech's rather than stechs. Search around, there are plenty of threads with pics of how low your car will be with the different spring setups.

it is hard to make the g stiff with G performance springs. Z springs will give u over the drop u r looking for and will be almost firmer. Most springs for the g are progressive with lower initial rates. Its hard to truly stiffen the ride up without coilovers. So it sounds like u want the lowest dropping 350z spring.
