high mileage oil change

I have a 2004 G35 Coupe with 112,000 miles on it. I'm doing an oil change soon and was thinking about using Royal Purple or Mobile 1 High Mileage synthetic. Which one would you guys prefer if not these two for this amount of mileage? Your opinion would be greatly appreciated.

instead if a nissan filter, I put in a Mobile 1, you know the expensive one for like $13, would that be fine instead of the Nissan oil filter?

The be all end all video for oil filters:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...-SbRkus#at=196

After viewing that (watch your ears, the guy swears a lot, but it's still the best vid), you'll be able to make a much more informed decision. I would never spend $13 on an oil filter, but that's just me. You can get a quality WIX or Puroloator for less than $5. Fram and OEM are about the only thing to avoid like the plague and you'll know why after watching the vid. There are oil filter threads on driver where you'll find a lot of people are fans of the Purolator PureOne which can be had for about $6. Best bang for the buck in my opinion. I buy those in bulk at amazon or advanceauto and M1 at walmart for $23.

I buy drain plug crush washers on ebay in 10 packs for less than $10 shipped. Just search for nissan or infiniti crush washer. Some guys never even replace the washer, but I like to do it.

I've run nothing but the Pureone filter on my car since new. I read years ago how good these were and it's all I've used on any car I've owned.

I have 125K miles on it, do an oil change every 4K and have never replaced the crush washer.

Also, 112K isn't really high mileage. These days it's 150+K.

Synthetic oil has a high rate of detergent to keep your motor running clean! With your high mileage motor and if you've used nothing buy dino oil, switching now may cause damage. Stick with what you've been using! WIX filters are the best you can buy....Gary
