Got myself an 07 G35 coupe, and I can't say enough how much I love it and enjoy! For the same reasons, the tiniest noises worry me

When I accelerate off from a standstill or even sometimes when I rev up the motor in one place, there is a strange 'kreeeee'' kind of sound coming from under the vehicle. This does not happen all the time, but frequent enough for me to notice, and I feel this kills the nice engine and exhaust note the car has. I did not see any exhaust leak. I also noted that this is more evident when I am driving uphill, or in general when there is a backward tension on the frame (probably a coincidence). Would it be some panel vibrating?

Has anyone else got this kinda sound?

I will try to record the sound and share too.

check your heat shields, around the cats most likely

 

maybe that is some gear whine from the transmission? have the fluid checked or changed perhaps?

 

Just to close the loop... After a long pause I figured what was causing the sound. It was a punctured flex pipe and a damaged flange on the drivers side. After those 2 were fixed, the lost power and amazing exhaust note are back!
