I placed an order for my car two weeks ago. Just wondering how long it took you guys to get an estimated build date. I am very anxious. Who did you talk to get this info, the sales guy?

 

It takes about a month to get a build date....after that you will get a ETA date, that is usually off in a good way. Takes 1 month to build and about 2-3 weeks to ship from Japan to your dealer.

 

you won't know a build date until the car is actually allocated to the dealer from my understanding. (someone correct me if i'm wrong)

by the time the car is allocated and the dealer is informed of the allocation, its already built and just awaiting shipment. Thats when the dealer is informed of the VIN and so forth

Thats the way it was explained to me, but like i said i could be wrong.

 

I got my build date the same month it was being built...December. It gave an arrival of 3/1. I got another but that one is here 2/11. It's coming early just like I was saying.

 

just know that it'll be around 3 months until you get your car. if you're lucky, perhaps sooner but most likely 3 months. i got my car EXACTLY 3 months later to the day!!!! the wait killed me too: )
