This is a huge mistake buying this car. If you have cash like that put it down on a newer one from a lot at least.

Not to sound like dad, but don't blow your whole nut paying for the car and have no money for plugs, camshaft sensors, 2 different sets of tires, synthetic oil changes, etc.

As others have pointed out.... This is a bad deal...

First off fender damage won't necessarily land a salvaged title, nor will theft necessarily.. Generally a salvaged car is one that was sooo badly damaged the Insurance wrote it off as a total loss ( I.E. damage to car wa sgreater than the car was worth) & the person with the car bought it back at salvaged price to have it repaired.

Guys I know in the honda circles do this ALL of the time.. When it comes to a salvaged title, excuses are a plenty... " car was stolen, Only fender damage, blah blah" BULLSHIT!

Plain and simple... at some point the insurance company decided the car wasn't worth saving. PERIOD.

That said.. you can find a descent low mileage G put 5k down & finance the rest for a 5 year loan with low APR & come out with a 250.00 a month payment.. or less depending on the car you find.

only use for a salvaged title is for a track car that you do not mind bashing on...

Reasonably speaking, EVEN if the G had ONLY the door and fender replaced, It wouldn't cost enough for the insurance company to salvage it unless it happened EXTREMELY recently. Not that this car holds it's value all that well, but 1st model years over 100k miles are still fetching over a $10k on a lot and $8-10 private seller. The DG paint is easy to blend. So, repainting a fender and door isn't going to be expensive. No pearl coat to worry about. That said, it's not worth it, imo, to buy this crappy nonsense.

fixed..

When I went to get a loan for the first G i found, it was lemon title for OC. This was before I knew about OC. All I knew is that it had a defective engine and was replaced with a new engine. Even though I was like so what about the title, give me the money, the credit union wouldnt approve me for a lemon. Maybe they wont approve you for a salvage for your own safety. It was a clean 06 for 13k, 80k mines. BOY WHAT A DEAL! :- l

If u plan on making it into some 240sx "drift missle" mess then go ahead cause U sure wont be reselling it to anyone for anything.
