He wasn't talking about that handle. There is a handle on the INSIDE of the trunk lid that you use to close the trunk. That's what Geo was talking about. BTW, I don't think the outer handle on the '03 sedans is ugly at all. Maybe it's not as clean a look as the '03.5+, but it's a helluva lot more convenient.

I just use the emblem also. The trunk barely takes any effort at all to shut. Just place two fingertips on the emblem, and a smooth downward motion closes it tight.

My previous car, an Acura CL, was exactly the same way. No exterior handle to use. No big deal. You get used to it.

Funny...why do people call the Infiniti logo the Mt. Fuji emblem? I realize that it looks like a mountain, but as I recall when Infiniti first launched in the late 80's, the symbol was intended to be a stylized version of the symbol for Infiniti. Is there any official recognition by Infiniti or Nissan that it was intended to represent Mt. Fuji?

BTW - I use the spoiler or the emblem myself.

As Cru said-- there's an intention on the inside of the trunk that you can use to pull the trunk closed. The handle you're thinking of is more commonly known as the "Doggie door" on the 2003.0s, I'm guessing. Totally different.

I use my outside edge of palm area when closing on top of the spoiler and fingers on the bottom of the trunk lid to open-no prints. When closing the doors I always push with the inside of my bent index finger (for strength) on the rubber seal between top of door and window glass- no prints.

haha, thats hilarious.

really, it looks terrible on the black cars, especially since the rear ends of the G tend to get dusty quickly.

I use the edge of my spoiler to close my trunk. It leaves a lil print, but still, its better then leaving prints on the rear area at all.

Ha! I like this idea! My neighbors probably won’t.
