What is the most ricer thing you have done to your G35 and regretted?
Hummmmmm... more info to add to "what makes a sports car" thread....
All ricers think that but no, the cars are vastly different. Google the expansive list of differences.
skyline badges-NO. but all Nissan badges throughout (seats, clock, steering wheel, mats, under the little poverty screen for the radio- you name it) would be pretty sick. at least for the ability to get all those parts!
For me it was the typical Skyline 350GT badges that I rocked the first couple years of owner ship when I bought the car in 2006. Those who know my car now obviously know I have had them off for years. Looking back on it, it was pretty ricer...Who the fvck was I fooling. I knew I wasn't going to change a damn thing on the interior

lollll the g35 is slow but it's the sexiest thing that you can buy for so little. I love mine it's all stock all what I added was rear mudguards and clear corners I been kept the oem look I added amber bulbs for my clear corners and tinted the windows it's beautiful as it is

I guess now we have to compare cars capabilities to others according the year it was built. How can you compare a car built in 03-06(07 for the coupe) with car of 2012??? We see now that the 2012 V6 camry can beat our G35. Tech and better engines across the manufactures improve over time. Now compare and 05 G35 vs 05 Camry V6; then you'de have something to talk about. Or better yet, compare the 2013 G37 to a 2013 Camry...

Also the defination of "fast" continually changes. You cannot set parameters as you see fit to justify your belief that you own a fast sports car. Back in early 80s, the Mustang 5.0 was the fastest thing on the streets with a whopping 185hp. Everyone knew it was fast, but no one would say that now. Does that mean we can only compare it to others 80s cars? I bought my first G35 in 04. Was it fast then? Yes. Is it fast now? Not a chance. Plus vast majority of people here didnt buy their car in 04 like me, they bought it within the last 1-2 years, so yes you would compare it to current cars.
I guess we can say it is a common ricer mentality to pick and choose parameters to compare your car with, to justify it. Like, "the G35 is the fastest car you can get for the money, from all cars between 2004-2006, under 20k, and over 3500 lbs, not counting the 350z"
Here's the list for those wondering:
the steering wheel/controls-OBVIOUSLY because it's in Japanese
the fuel/emmision system-again, different country so different emissions. Hell, Canada has the same clame to fame
different ecu-because petrol rates are different
different flywheel (duel mass)-ACTUAL difference
different shocks/springs-rates...different shock and spring RATES...because road conditions are different
different propshaft, -ACTUAL DIFFERENCE!!!
different indicators (yellow)-because DUH
different can-bus wires (lighting system)-obviously
different rear exhaust box-which is to be expected with different emissions
no rear fog lights-i'm not even sure this is a thing
front grill/badges-because..well...it's a Nissan
seat upholstry-it says nissan and they're the same as 350Z touring seats
tyres are different-for obvious reason
fuel neck restrictor-again, back to admissions
de-limiter is different-different country regulations
Soooooo, two ACTUAL differences between the 350GT and G35 and a long list of obvious differences between different friggin' countries. None of which are enough to justify not having the badge swap. That said, I still think it's ricey, but that's only because I know people that do it only do it to say they have a Skyline.
