Belts squealing after being replaced and on idle overheating

I recently had my timing and serptine belt replaced. Ever seen they have been replaced the squeal on start up and when I'm idling at a red light or traffic some times when I start to engage driving again the temperature rises almost overheating. Is the overheating have anything to do with the belts squealing? I have taken it in 3 times and they say the belts are fine. I have no coolant loss or any overheating problems other then the times the belts squeal. Is this even possible? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated as I am lost.

I sounds like your newly installed serpentine belt is not tightened correctly. That belt also drives the water pump which is necessary for cooling. Take it back to shop that did the installation.

The water pump is chain driven, has nothing to do with the belts. Overheating problem should not be related to belts. Belt noise most likely caused by contaminated belts (coolant on belts from a leak?) or incorrect tension.

Sounds like they goofed when they replaced the timing chain. Take it back. A loose chain would cause cavitation of the water pump and cause overheating

does your heater blow cold air when overheating? If so, bleed your system properly.
