HELP: "VDC Off"+ "Slip"
Hi guys... i have a 2005 g35 coupe with aprox. 127k on it. well heres the problem a month ago my lights came on while i was driving and like my car wanted to turn off. It lost all power for like at least a minute. I couldnt move it and its a scary situation if you stuck in the middle of the freeway. I changed all my brakes thinking that would fix my problem. And it did for a month. BUT today while i was going to work it started to do the same. So here i am..maybe you guys can help me figure out whats wrong with my g35... thanks in advance

Did the RED BRAKE light come on the dash as well as some point? If so, check your brake fluid level.
There are a few reasons. I can't say which is your reason, so check all these out. Could be a fault ABS wheel sensor. If the sensor fails, the traction control system defaults to off.
Some claim a failing camshaft position sensor can cause the lights, and power loss you describe as well.
No CEL?

I have been through this. The car did this once and I reset the ecu by disconnecting the battery for 15 minutes. Lot of people commented on the forum. Some criticized on disconnecting the battery as the trouble shooting codes were erased by doing so. Some recommended changing cam sensors or checking brake sensors etc. I took the car to the infiniti dealership and they did a complete check but could not find any problems. The service manager drove the car himself two days but the problem never surfaced again. I recommend disconnecting the battery for 15 minutes and see if the problem goes away. My car is in excellent condition and i dont abuse the car. This is an ecu glitch and can easily be fixed by resetting the ecu. Try it and it should work. No harm in trying before replacing sensors or parts. Good luck.
