So I just picked up a G35. I've been in the market for one for over 3 years in effort to find the perfect one. The funds were not an issue I just preferred the G35 over the G37, and as most of you know the owners of G35's tend to beat the hell out of them. Anyways, long story short I bought a 2006 pearl white 6mt with 2,950 miles on it that is still under Infiniti extended warranty until December 2017. I had to drive 200 miles to get it but it was well worth it.
My question here is, I know that the mileage is extremely low but what service should I do to it? I was thinking maybe an oil change and transmission fluid change and maybe even diff fluid change. I'm not sure though. Also, maybe the belts? Oh, and while I'm at it I don't mind doing upgrades. Any input is greatly appreciated everyone! Thanks!

Yes it really has only 3000 miles lol. Probably the only one in America with that low of mileage ! I'm going to change the oil tonight actually but I don't know what else I should do.

Not sure the fluids need to be changed other than the oil unless there is evaporation

Recommend checking the serpentine belt and the tires. Condition the seats, Suspension should be fine.

Other than that, you should be golden. Any pix to post?

At most I'd do oil and belts only if they look crusty. Way too soon for tranny and diff. But damn 3000 miles with warranty still.

The story was basically he bought the car as a pleasure car and wanted to keep it super low miles and baically keep it forever. However, due to financial reasons he was forced to sell it(aka his wife made him lol). Just changed the oil on this thing and jeez whoever designed that dipstick needs to get shot. I do have pictures on my phone ill try and upload them in the next few days! I am absolutely loving this car though other than that and the fact that the seat sits super high (I'm 6'1") and that it's missing bluetooth audio, boo.

Mess with the seat height/pan adjustments, tilt the angle the seat back and slouch down if you need to. It takes a while to figure it the right combination for those if us over 6 feet.

Once you get it dialed in to where you like it, you'll be fine.

Was it stored for a long time? If so, how's the gas? Was it stored with a stablizer in the gas? Low milage, not much driving, lots of sitting around. I guess with the 200 mile drive you drove the old gas out and refilled it so I guess it's no problem. Good Luck

Congratulations Mnuhaily, that's the lowest mileage first gen G35 we've seen in forever! I would do an oil/filter change before driving her home and check all the fluid levels. If this was mine I'd change the belts and basically do a 30k mile service which includes drain/fill all fluids only because they're old. Then I'd switch to a quality synthetic oil like AMSOIL and filter like WIX. Upgrades, read all the sticky at the top of the coupe page. You're wrong about how we treat our G35s, most members here have OCD when it comes to what we drive! Enjoy the ride...Gary

Check the rubber components. Belts, tires, etc for deterioration. Sometimes cars that sit tend to wear more than cars that are driven.
